Presenting the LMU Munich Amgen Scholars in 2025

This year have welcomed 11 scholars to the Amgen Scholars Programme in Munich. Selected from close to 500 applicants, the group this year brings a total of 7 nationalities into the programme. The participants are paired with 11 host labs at LMU Munich, the MPI Institute of Psychiatry, the LMU Klinikum, the Institute for Stroke and Dementia Research (ISD), and the Helmholtz Center Munich.

The programme started with our traditional Opening Retreat in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where scholars are introduced to the LMU site staff, affiliated faculty, and relevant research topics, before joining the labs on July 1st.
