Congratulations to all Amgen LMU 2012 scholars!

Thank you to all students, faculty, mentors, and institutions for making the 2012 programme such a success!


Over the past summer, 25 Amgen Scholars coming from19 different countries have conducted 10 weeks of hands-on research in laboratories within the fields of biochemistry, structural, molecular, cell, and developmental biology, cellular and organism neurobiology, computational neuroscience, proteomics, biophysics, cancer research, molecular medicine and physiological sciences.

Participating institutions include the LMU Biocenter, LMU Medical Center, LMU Dept. of Pharmacy, Gene Center, Bernstein Center of Computational Neuroscience, Adolf Butenandt Institute, the Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences, Institute for Stroke and Dementia Research, Helmholtz Zentrum München, the Technical University (Garching campus, Klinikum r.d. Isar, Institute of Neuroscience) as well as the Max Planck Institutes (MPI) of Neurobiology, Biochemistry and Psychiatry.
